Home Grown & Hand Made

We have only a couple more Saturday’s where the farm and market is open for the season. With that being said I thought is would be fun to host a little market event we are calling Home Grown & Hand Made. We have  some very talent folks contributing their wonderful art and crafts to the event as well as some really fine goodies this Saturday as well.  So if you can,  come on out to the farm and enjoy one of the last days until next spring to harvest those flowers and vegetables.

If you keep up with the goings on here at Madison Creek Farms you already know it was a very hard summer season for all of us farmers really.  So I wanted to invite our Summer CSA shareholders back out to the farm this Saturday to pickup some fresh greens and flowers to again say thank you for hang in there during the tough months of heat, drought and floods.

Book Sale

Also at the market this Saturday there will be a table full of  slightly used books…they range from $1 to 3 dollars. The proceeds from the book sale will benefit Mrs Heile’s 2nd. grade classroom wish list for a new classroom printer.

Molly Moo Milk Shares

Song Haven Farm, located just south of Leiper’s Fork has cow shares available in MollyMoo, probably the most spoiled, naturally raised Holstein cow in Williamson County! MollyMoo eats grass, good quality hay, free choice minerals and grain as required to keep her in good shape. Chemical pesticides and herbicides are not used on our farm. Cow share owners will be entitled to a weekly share of raw milk that can be collected at designated times at locations in Nashville or Brentwood during the week or Saturday mornings at the farm. Shares cost $60 (a one-time fee), with monthly boarding fees of $25. There is also a $10 refundable bottle deposit per share.  Cow share owners can get a gallon of raw milk per week per share.  For a more complete description of our cow share program please contact Cathy Williams at callen022471@yahoo.com or call (615) 972 4106.
