The Romance of English Roses

Style Me Pretty

One of my favorite flowers we grow here on the farm to use in bridal bouquets are our English roses.  They are so fragrant and beautiful for early summer weddings.  In the inspiration board above I really like the use of seasonal flowers like the peonies and roses with hydrangeas. This is a look that is very hot right now, but also a very classic style.  There are a few elements that really set the stage in the photos above for a great look to these arrangements. The first being the uses of texture within the greenery. Soft hues of green that lean more into the lighter creamier lime color.  Another example of texture being used here are the different shapes of leaves and pods within the greener. This sets the center stage for the soft pops of color from the roses and peonies. Speaking of elements of style ..I also love the use of the vintage look to the ribbon tied around the bouquet. Not only does this look add a very sweet and romantic feel to the bouquet it also creates a personal style statement.
