Back to life B for me this weekend touring in East Tennessee. Not that far from home on this little weekend line up of shows but never the less it gets me off the farm..out of my muck boots and into high heels and sparklingly earrings. Yes, I love the girlie stuff as much I like slipping into my old muck boots and playing in the dirt. The drawback of have these two totally different lives of course is that during the time I am out on the road singing for my dinner it leaves the farm in the hands of Mark and our crew. Mark although he does fret about the farm, our young son Lucca and the market being all up to him he does handle it fine. It is just double the work load for him. But me out here on the road keeps the lights on home so we can continue to build the farm for our “one day we will be able to make a living farming” until then though I will keep touring.
This Saturday the market and farm will be open 9-2pm although I won’t get be there with yáll…we sort of I will be getting back sometime Saturday from the road. That being said …there won’t be all the pies and such at the market that I make. I do have the Trish from the Flour Girls baking some of her famous goodies for the market. So come on by…we have some sweet sugar snap peas ready to harvest as well as Swiss Chard, lettuce and greens. And give ole farmer Mark a pat on the back he deserves it…he worked hard this week:)
CSA; Your next pickup is June 4th. Have a great holiday weekend.
