Quick farm update

Just a quick little update for our CSA Shareholders…I will be sending a full update before the end of week. Mark & I would like to welcome our new shareholders to the farm and the csa program. If you haven’t already downloaded and read the CSA handbook please take a minute and do so..It will give you a lot of information about the program and tips to help make the most of your experience here at the farm.

The crops are coming along a little behind schedule with the cold March and cool April…but they are looking great and we hope to kick off our pick schedule the first Saturday in May 2nd. Now that is hopeful but not written in stone. We are on Mother natures time…so that date may change if the rains keep falling and temps stay low…these crop like to sit and wait it out when the weather is like it is. We are getting the rest of the heirloom tomatoes and peppers in the ground this week and we have been thinning radishes today. There are lots of beautiful blooms on the strawberry plants this spring so it looks to be a great berry year. A lot of our shareholders are asking about paying their other half of their CSA payment. I will address all those questions in the longer newsletter. Just wanted to let you know the farm thriving and we are working hard to make sure y’all have a wonderful season with us…busy time around here. Also please use the farm’s email address for questions…we are no where near the phone…and cell phone and field work don’t play well together..so email is the best way to contact me. madisoncreekfarms@gmail.com

Thanks, Peggy

My name is Peggy Lynn Marchetti. I am a wife, a mother of two beautiful, never boring children, and a farmer... that's right - a farmer... a female farmer to be exact. I live on a beautiful little third generation organic farm in middle Tennessee.
