The season of greens

I am so ready for some fall, breezy sweater weather. It’s been a long hot summer and by this time of year I am ready to see some color changing in the trees and crisp mornings out in the field. Which by the way make for some super sweet greens.  We have several planted for this fall’s CSA and we are looking forward to sharing the harvest with y’all. We have our 3rd. fall CSA pickup this week and I am offering 2 days this week for anyone that would like to pickup earlier in the week to free up their Saturday.  Wednesday 4-6pm  & Thursday 4-6pm.     Saturday 10:30 -1pm.   If you would like to pickup your share during the week please let me know..We are harvesting only basket that we know are going home the day you choose.  We have some spaghetti squash, tender snap green beans, purple hull peas and zucchini , peppers in this share..along with kale, mustard greens or turnip greens.

The balance of the fall CSA is due with this pickup and you can pay your remaining balance on line now using the link.

I will be posting some wonder recipes and tips on using this winter squash and fall greens on our farm’s Facebook page this week. Look forward to see y’all back on the farm.
