Holy Holy Cow it’s Hot!

Hey Y’all,

If you are like me then you are ready for some nice cooler fall weather. Right now it’s 97 and super dry out there in the field. We have been keeping ontop of watering only the fall crops just to keep them growing. They are not happy with this weather either. But we keep plowing along because we know it will change before we know it.

We have our Fall CSA shareholders back on the farm Saturday, September 21st. 10:30-2pm for their first pickup..get ready for a pepper haul. I will be posting a couple of new videos on the farm’s YouTube channel with recipes and tips on dealing with all peppers this week and next week so make sure you all subscribe to the farm’s channel We post a new video everyweek with recipes and tips on what’s fresh and in season either from your local farmers market or in your CSA FarmBox. Leave us a comment below the video if you have any tips or recipes for peppers..I would love to share them. Watch

I have posted a video about a couple of the other items you will find this pickup in your FarmBox Malabar Spinach and Yardlong beans. This is a easy and very tasty little recipe for both of these heat loving crops.

Keep us in your happy thoughts for a good soaking and rain and some cooler temps..we the farmers thank you..and those broccoli, greens and carrots will too:)
