The Creation of the Pickle

This is the first in a series of workshops centered around preserving the harvest here on the farm. We are starting the series with learning the basics of safe canning practices and exploring the possibilities and creativity of the fabulous dill pickle.

 

 

 

 

Date August 1 10:30 am.

Location: The FarmHouse Kitchen

Admission: $8.00 for canning supplies provided by M.C.F.

This will be hour-long hands on interactive workshop. Each participant will be taking home their jar of home -made pickles.

Hot off the grill!

Summer time is synonymous with outdoor cooking in this workshop we will be demonstrated some fun and useful information and recipes for making the most out of your summer’s bounty on the grill.

Salsa Savvy

Heirloom tomatoes and wonderful fresh peppers are at their peak this time of year here on the farm. In this workshop we will be dicing and chopping our way through some fabulous salsa recipes.

We will be starting with real farm fresh sweet cream to create the best real butter you have ever tasted. A farmhouse favorite here on the farm.

Wonderful Eggplant

This time of year eggplant is abundant here on the farm. In this workshop we will be demonstrating some easy recipes that use this beautiful vegetable.
