Spend the day on one of Tennessee's beautiful historic farmsteads! 

School Field Trip (preK-8th) Home school Group Field Trips  
A field trip to Madison Creek Farms will allow the school kids valuable hands-on experiences of seeing where their food comes from and how small sustainable farms play a vital role in their local community. 
Our mission has always been to educate, mentor and to develop a common awareness for our environment, our local food system and low impact methods of sustainable farming and lifestyle. The children will experience (some for the first time) a micro-ecosystem where animals, plants and nature not only co-exists but thrive from this relationship without toxic use of chemicals or wasting needless energy to be productive. 

You class will experience the following on the field trip to the farm:

• A hayride from the bus parking area to the farm's main entrance 

• A guided tour through the farms gardens and flower field

• A trip to the petting barn where they can see the animals and look for eggs from our free-range chicken area

• Learn about our rain-water catchments system and other alternative -energy practices the farm utilizes like solar energy and recycling as well as conservation and micro-environmental management of our natural resources. 

• Learn how the farm uses good bugs to battle the bad bugs with a visit to our ladybug house and they learn how the farm uses honey bees and earthworms to help with composting and pollination. 

• Play time in the farm's play area hay maze and horse swings. 

• Lunch at our picnic area

• Entertainment via music, play or puppet show , hands on learning by way of planting, harvesting or creating. Each child will leave the farm with something he or she made or harvested during their visit as well as a farm gift. 

A great outdoor classroom experience with the right blend of fun, excitement and a foundation of knowledge they can expand on. 

Farm School group schedule:  Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday   
Our School tours began 9:00am  (groups can arrive later if needed)    

Additional Information: Bus parking, public restrooms, hand washing stations, Knowledgeable tour guides. Minimum 12 persons per group.
Cost per person: $8.00

Preschoolers /Play Date  Group Outings

Children's play date here on the farm! We love to have little ones come out to the farm, being parents ourselves we understand the needs for the very young ones to have a fun, and safe experience while fully enjoying all the farm has to offer.  Cost: $4.00 to $8.00 depending on groups activity plan.  call or email Peggy  for more information regarding play dates on the farm.
